So is everybody as excited about July 4th as I am? It has always been my favorite holiday and my husbands birthday. So in honor of my favorite holiday I've decided to give away a free photo shoot and 16x20 print of your choice from your shoot.
So here's how it's going to work. In the comments section of this post tell me why you enjoy having pictures in your life and sign it with your first name and last initial. Then e-mail me at photosbytisha@gmail.com and leave me your information that matches (Name, Phone#, E-mail Address & a copy of your comment). This way no one else will be able to see your info and I won't confuse anyone.
Now for the rules!! Winner must be able to come to the Amarillo area for their shoot. One entry per household. I want to give as many people a chance as possible to enter so the deadline will not be until July 31. On August 1 I will hold a drawing of all names on Random.org and contact the winner.
So give me your best comment and good luck.

What do you remember about your great grandparents? I never met mine and the only way I know anything about them is through pictures. In one, I see my great grandad with his work horse getting ready to plow a field. In another, I see my great grandmother holding her children. When I look at pictures, I can see how my family was formed-where I came from. I can see the hardworking history, the hard times, the struggles. I can see strength and character.
Pictures are memories we can keep forever. On our walls-as a personal form of family art. Records of life. When no one is left to tell our stories, our pictures will.
So, even though I have never met my great grandparents, pictures let me connect to them-the past can be present. My children, when they are old enough, will certainly ask questions about our past-and our families. Pictures are all I have left. The spoken stories are gone with those who knew the stories.
When we take pictures-much more goes into it than a smile, a new hair cut, and ironed clothes. A story goes into it. Hundreds of years later, our children’s children will look at us through pictures and try to tell our story. Pictures are a way for us to share our stories-and record our lives forever.
What do I love about pictures? Simply put; pictures are the memories of life that are recorded forever. My children as babies, our wedding, family throughout the years-something for me to look at whenever I want to remember how life once was.

Having pictures in my life help me to remember the times that I never want to forget. I surround myself with pictures. I enjoy seeing the people I love smiling and having fun. Pictures capture that perfect moment that you never want to let go of. Babies never grow up, weddings never end, and people you love are always there. A photo is a place of joy.

The photos that people keep represent their life's sacred moments, special triumphs, and irreplacable connections to others. They are not just snapshots of a scene or a person, they are vivid reminders of the memories we hold dear in our hearts and minds. Each picture holds it's own unique story. You'll never have those times back again, and it's so important to be able to look back and remember those special times in your life.

Pictures are your life. One look and you're back in that special time, at that special place. Pictures are memories- good and bad, but they make you who you are and they allow for really important moments to be documented forever. My home is filled with pictures from my family, to my husband's family to OUR family. That's who we are and how we've lived our lives. Hopefully we have instilled in our boys the importance of pictures in their lives, one day that is all they'll have to remember us by. When that time comes, I know how comforting it will be to be able to look back and say..."oh I remember when..."
Pictures help you to identify where you came from and help make you who you are. It's so fun to go back in time and make fun of your hair do or clothes, but pictures help make a family close and learn about themselves.
Thansk you for making such beautiful memories for my family.

Well, I have always loved pictures, always a picture freak as my college friends would say. Never went anywhere without a camera. We took pictures I absolutely want to keep forever and be able to show them to my children one day, and maybe a few I would not want to show. Anyway, I always enjoyed them, but never knew how important they were until one of my very best friends died. My mom. Who ever thinks that the only way they will be able to introduce their children to their grandma or LaLa in our case is through pictures? I would have never even imagined. Now I realize that all the wonderful crazy pictures I have of my mom will be the only way my children will meet one of the best women in my life. Luckily, you took some great pictures of her 2 months before she passed away at my wedding. Needless to say these were the last pictures of her ever taken. Because of this, it has made me more aware of how important pictures are. You never know when your last moment will be with someone, but pictures can show personality, love, and many memories you have of people who are no longer with us. The more pictures we take of people, the more we can explain and tell great stories of them. Thanks for taking such beautiful pictures. Melanie J.
Pictures are irreplaceable to me because I want to capture my son as he grows so I can remember each step in his life. I can't hold my newborn Boston, but I can look at pictures and remember exactly how it felt to hold him when he was so small and fragile. Now that he is 2I cannot imagine not having my little 2 year old wild man running around, so I want to capture his energy and his personality so that I can come back to pictures and remember him exactly the way that he is right now!

I love pictures because they remind you of all the different seasons of our life. They also display your heart and things you cherish. Matthew 6:21 says, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." I certainly treasure the amazing pictures that Tisha has taken for our family.
ps. tisha, check out my new blog. :)
Pictures have always surrounded and been a huge part of my life. When I was growing up I had a bulletin board that covered one entire wall in my room that was covered in pictures! Pictures make me smile and remember great times in my past and present. They help me capture those special moments that I want to stay around for forever.
I enjoy having photos in my life because it captures those special moments. I love to share pictures with my family and friends and look back on all the good and special times I have had in my life.

Pictures mean everything to me, especially now that I have a little one. He grows so fast, and I enjoy looking at him grow up in pictures. Pictures also capture the moments that memories are made of. Thanks Tisha for taking amazing pics. Your the best.
